          • STAR Inc began in 1986 under the name Action for the Intellectually Disabled People –Tenancy Support Scheme. Founded by a group of parents who were concerned for their children who had an intellectual disability, their concerns arose from the implementation of the de-institutionalization policy being proposed by the government of the day.

Opportunities are available for people seeking work as Living Skills Teachers from time to time. Underpinning our quality services is STAR’s commitment to ensuring our staff have the necessary attributes and skills to teach and support participants to live a community based lifestyle of their choice.

Our STAR Teaching and Supporting Programme is tailored to cater to each individual’s needs. We Work with clients in their home, on a one to one basis.
